Vanessa Hanes

Vanessa Lopes Lourenço Hanes é Professora de Língua Inglesa na UFF. Possui doutorado em Estudos da Tradução obtido junto à UFSC. Desenvolveu sua tese tendo como tema as representações escritas do discurso oral em traduções literárias de obras populares para o mercado editorial brasileiro. Sua pesquisa atual enfoca as abordagens da tradução do discurso oral em meios de comunicação de massa.

Vanessa Lopes Lourenço Hanes is a Professor of English at the Universidade Federal Fluminense and holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She developed her thesis on written representations of oral discourse in translated literature for the Brazilian popular market.  Her current research centers on approaches to the translation of oral discourse in mass media.
